"I Am Snake" Dev Diary REVEALS Secrets! Prepare to...

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the games captivating the team here at Natural News. As usual, we've been losing sleep, neglecting responsibilities, and generally immersing ourselves in digital worlds. This week, Bertie contemplates chocolate boxes (presumably virtual ones!), Victoria indulges in mini-eggs – a crucial Gaming fuel, Connor plays hooky (digitally, of course), Marie seeks Walker but finds Bill, and Matt experiences a surge of warmth (hopefully from a well-optimized PC, not overheating components!). Read on for the games that have us hooked. And if you're seeking further reading, or a nostalgic trip down memory lane, our extensive "What We've Been Playing" archive awaits. We've been doing this for quite a while, so there's bound to be something there for everyone!

Picture this: I am Snake, one with the jungle, and ravenously hungry. I set down my controller, reach for some mini-eggs (essential sustenance for long Gaming sessions, you see), and suddenly, cries erupt from the TV. "Snake? Snake!!" Disaster strikes – I didn't realize Snake could drown in the mud. My apologies, Snake! The jungle is a harsh mistress, and apparently, so is my gaming ineptitude. It just goes to show, sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men (and hungry virtual snakes) go awry. Next time, I'll keep a closer eye on my reptilian avatar and maybe pack a digital life preserver.

My conviction grows daily that Old School RuneScape stands as one of the greatest MMORPGs ever crafted. It's a strange realization, considering I somehow missed this revelation during clandestine sessions at school. I swear, I was studying! As I pen this very paragraph, I'm aboard the Fishing Trawler, a motley vessel where players unite to catch fish and fend off a menacing kraken attempting to sink the ship. The beauty of it is, to meet the minimum requirement for rewards in this five-minute minigame, one simply needs to click a tentacle twice. That's it. Then, find a quiet spot away from the fray and wait for the timer to expire. It's truly brilliant, especially for those of us reluctantly embracing adulthood. Just keep it under wraps, alright? We wouldn't want the Kraken to learn our secrets...

Finally, I invested in the Switch 2 update pack (tempted by the shiny new features, as one does!), and perhaps it's harsh, but I find myself gravitating more towards the free 3.0 update content. I've dedicated far more time to the free additions than the paid content. The Switch 2 upgrade has yet to truly capture my attention, which is a bit of a disappointment, to be honest. The only exception is the rather temperamental Megaphone Tool, designed to locate villagers; I called for Walker, but Bill kept answering... Maybe Bill just wants to be friends? Or perhaps the megaphone is suffering from a case of mistaken identity. Regardless, the search for Walker continues!
