Absolute Joker's Origin REVEALED! What DC Just Dropped Will SHOCK You!
Tech Product Reviews 13 January 2026

Well, Bat-fans, buckle up, because DC just dropped a truth bomb about the Joker that's darker than a Gotham night. We're talking a *seriously* disturbing origin story, and it's not your run-of-the-mill "one bad day" scenario. This is the Absolute Universe we're talking about, where things get dialed up to eleven. Forget the vague, enigmatic pasts we're used to – this Joker has a *definitive* backstory, and it's… intense.

Absolute Joker's Origin REVEALED! What DC Just Dro...

I've always appreciated the Joker's mystery. The lack of a fixed origin is part of what makes him so terrifying. He could be anyone, anywhere. But writer Scott Snyder, never one to shy away from the macabre, has decided to give us something concrete. And trust me, it's not pretty. Prepare yourselves, because spoilers for Absolute Batman #15 and Absolute Batman: Ark-M #1 are coming right up!

The story revolves around Alfred, Batman's ever-loyal butler, doing some digging into Jack Grimm and JK Industries. Turns out, Grimm isn't just some run-of-the-mill shady businessman. He's funding *both* sides of global conflicts, amassing a fortune by manipulating world events. Cynical? Absolutely. But it gets worse.

Alfred's investigation stumbles upon something truly horrifying: disappearances. Lots of them. Business rivals, associates… all vanished without a trace. The suspicion? Murder. And the kicker? The Joker might actually *be* the original Jack Grimm, having achieved immortality in the most twisted way imaginable: a fusion of science, black magic, and… (deep breath)… the blood of infants. Yeah, you read that right.

The comic then shows Grimm visiting a remote island he owns. There, he confronts a man he imprisoned decades ago. The man recognizes him, tries to flee, and that’s when the transformation happens. Jack, the man who "never laughs," unleashes a demonic cackle and *transforms* into a monstrous being. Alfred, observing from afar, knows that hearing the Joker laugh means doom is imminent. It's straight out of a horror movie. Grimm, now essentially the Joker, returns to Gotham, checks out Batman, and then heads back to his mansion. He tells his butler he'll be spending the night in "the cave." This implies he has resources and skills comparable to Batman, adding another layer of disturbing complexity. We're talking wealth, training, technology, and, oh yeah, he’s an immortal, baby-devouring demon. What a resume.

Finally, a quick note on Arkham. In the Absolute Universe, Arkham Asylum is replaced by a clandestine prison called Ark-M, part of a network controlled by JK Industries. But, Absolute Batman: Ark-M Special #1 reveals Arkham Asylum *did* exist in the late 19th century, founded by Dr. Amadeus Arkham. He was trying to cope with personal tragedy by caring for the mentally ill. So, it seems the Absolute Universe is weaving together different threads of the Batman mythos in some really unsettling ways. It remains to be seen how this Joker will stack up against his many iterations, but one thing is certain: This origin story is sure to leave a lasting impression.
