JANUARY Surprise! What Critical Events Are on Your Radar?!
Fashion & Style 11 January 2026

Alright folks, kicking off the new year with something a little different: a peek into what's currently grabbing my attention in the world of Fashion and… well, stuff I just find interesting. Think of it as my personal "On My Radar" report, Jan edition, inspired by the always-stylish Blair Eadie's Atlantic-Pacific blog. Because let's be honest, sometimes the best discoveries come from seeing what others are buzzing about.

JANUARY Surprise! What Critical Events Are on Your...

First up, that skirt. You know, *that* skirt. The one that just makes you want to twirl through a field of wildflowers, even if you're just heading to the grocery store. It's got that effortless chic vibe, and I'm picturing it styled with chunky boots and a cozy sweater for maximum winter-but-make-it-Fashion points. Speaking of cozy, the faux fur pullover is definitely on my list. I'm seeing similar styles everywhere, and honestly, who can resist the siren call of something so warm and cuddly? Plus, it instantly elevates any outfit – jeans and a tee? Instantly elevated. Pajamas? Suddenly acceptable for a quick coffee run. (Don't judge.)

Now, Blair mentioned a few specific things that piqued my interest. First, Ulla Johnson, whose dreamy designs I’ve always admired, is having a sample sale. Sample sales are always a good shout! I'm imagining a treasure trove of bohemian blouses and flowy dresses just waiting to be discovered at bargain prices. Seriously, if you're in the area and can swing it, check it out. You might just unearth a hidden gem.

Then, there's the bubble necklace. I'm assuming it's some kind of statement piece, and honestly, I'm always a sucker for a bold necklace that can transform a simple outfit. And apparently, the Gala bag is back in stock – which means it must be pretty darn popular. I'll have to do some investigating to see what all the fuss is about. A good bag is an investment piece, and a great bag is a conversation starter.

Brandon Maxwell's Spring collection is also on the radar. I haven’t had a chance to fully delve into it yet, but the name alone conjures images of vibrant colors and elegant silhouettes. It's definitely something to look forward to as we inch closer to warmer weather. Lastly, Freyrs Eyewear is also mentioned. Good eyewear can make or break an outfit, and let’s be honest, it’s often the first thing people notice. So, yeah, definitely checking that out.

So there you have it – a quick rundown of what's caught my eye lately. It's a mix of attainable pieces and aspirational finds, all united by a common thread: a desire to inject a little bit of style and joy into everyday life. Here’s to a stylish and inspiring New Year!
