Alright, Poppy Playtime fans, mark your calendars – but maybe not too eagerly just yet. Chapter 5 is officially on the horizon, and we finally have a release date! Get ready to dive back into the twisted world of Playtime Co. on February 18th, 2026. Yes, you read that right, 2026. That's a fair bit of time to wait, but hey, at least we know when to anticipate the scares.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 Release Date SHOCK! Conso...
The new chapter, officially titled "Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 - Broken Things," promises to be a real doozy. The developers are really leaning into the unsettling atmosphere, as the tagline confirms: "Deep within the vacant halls of the Playtime Co. lab, The Prototype stalks its unfinished work… the tattered, lifeless remains of toys that once were. Broken things." Gives you the chills, doesn't it? It certainly does me, and I've played my fair share of horror games.
So, what can we expect from "Broken Things"? Well, according to the official blurb, players will be facing off against the puppetmaster behind all the horrors of Playtime Co.'s dark past. We'll be navigating treacherous environments, solving complex puzzles, and generally trying to survive as we inch closer to the "true rotten heart" of the company. Sounds like a recipe for a sleepless night or two, wouldn't you say? I personally am curious to see the direction in which the story goes.
Prepare yourselves for some serious scares, folks. The devs are promising "stomach-churning terror" in a brand new section of the factory. We'll be encountering new "tortured denizens" (lovely!), facing deadly environmental hazards, and, thankfully, getting our hands on some new GrabPack tools to help us survive. Gotta love those GrabPacks, even if they're probably going to be used in some incredibly disturbing ways.
Now, here's the rub: The February 18th, 2026 release date is specifically for the PC version. Console players, unfortunately, will have to exercise a little more patience. The console release is expected to follow in the months after the PC launch, so keep an eye out for updates. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything concrete. It's a bit of a bummer for those who prefer playing on their consoles, but hopefully the wait won't be too long. In the meantime, you can always replay the previous chapters to get your fix of toy-related terror. I still have nightmares about Huggy Wuggy, to be perfectly honest.
It's been a long wait for Chapter 5, especially after Chapter 4 landed on PC back in January of last year. Of course, the studio has been busy, with the announcement of a Poppy Playtime film adaptation in partnership with Legendary Entertainment and Angry Films back in May. So, while we wait for "Broken Things," at least we have a movie to look forward to as well! It is definetly an exciting time to be a fan of the series.
