'Primal' Season 3?! Creator Reveals Shocking Fate of Fang!

Okay, animation fans, buckle up! Genndy Tartakovsky, the mastermind behind some of our absolute favorite cartoons – *Dexter's Laboratory*, *Samurai Jack*, *Clone Wars*... the list goes on – is back with Season 3 of *Primal*. And let me tell you, it's already raising some eyebrows.

'Primal' Season 3?! Creator Reveals Shocking Fate ...

For those who haven't jumped into this prehistoric (and brutally violent) world, *Primal* follows a caveman named Spear and his unlikely, but fiercely loyal, T-Rex companion, Fang. Their bond is the heart of the show, and the sheer visual storytelling is just breathtaking. Season 2 ended with... well, let's just say things got *dark*. Like, really dark. Spear didn't exactly make it. So, naturally, the biggest question going into Season 3 is: how on earth is he back?

We had the chance to sit down with Tartakovsky himself to get some answers, and the conversation was... revealing. He's not shying away from the ending of Season 2. Spear *is* back, but in what form? Let's just say the word "zombified" came up. Apparently, a significant part of this season will explore what it means to be Spear in this new, desiccated, hulking corpse. How much of the original caveman is still in there? Tartakovsky promises a deep dive into that very question.

But the real question that's been burning in my mind, and I suspect in many other fans' minds, is: WHERE'S FANG?! The interview definitely touches on this. Fang, voiced by Joel Valentine, is as much a lead character as Spear. Their dynamic is incredible. Will she return this season? Tartakovsky remained coy, but the fact that he didn't outright deny it gives me hope. I'm personally holding out for a triumphant, tooth-and-claw-filled reunion. Imagine the possibilities!

There was also talk about a previously planned anthology format for Season 3. Remember that? Turns out, that idea has been shelved, at least for now. The focus is firmly on continuing the story, albeit in a drastically different direction. I, for one, am relieved. While an anthology could have been interesting, the core of *Primal* is the relationship between Spear and Fang (hopefully still Fang!), and I'm eager to see where Tartakovsky takes that. So, stay tuned, folks. This season promises to be a wild, and potentially heartbreaking, ride.
