Canada Shore is Back?! The Trailer Just Dropped!
Movies & TV Series 08 January 2026

Get ready, folks, because the "Shore" franchise is officially going international! "Canada Shore," the latest iteration of the reality TV juggernaut, is set to make a splash on Paramount+ globally, starting January 22nd. That's right, not just for us Canucks; the partying, flirting, and probably questionable decision-making will be available wherever Paramount+ streams. I must admit, I'm curious to see how this one plays out.

Canada Shore is Back?! The Trailer Just Dropped!

Originally planned for just English-speaking markets, Paramount+ has decided to unleash the Canadian version on the world. A trailer dropped along with the announcement, and let me tell you, it's… something. Think neon-lit bars, bucking broncos (yes, you read that right), and, of course, a Canadian moose making an appearance. All set to the soundtrack of "Big Boom" by Rêve, a Canadian dance-pop artist. It's definitely leaning into the Canadian stereotypes, that's for sure!

So, who are the fresh faces we'll be watching make questionable choices in Kelowna, B.C.? The cast includes Bauer from Prince Albert, Christopher and Lila from Toronto, Emmett representing Vancouver, Emmy from Fredericton, Ethan from Newmarket, Gizelle from Mississauga, Isaiah from Calgary, Keyaira hailing from Halifax, and Ryleigh from Bridgewater. Ages range from 20 to 26, so expect plenty of youthful exuberance (and probably some drama). It will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure of the cameras, and if they will find love - or at least temporary romance.

This is actually a pretty big deal, marking the first time the "Shore" franchise has ventured north of the good ol' U.S. of A. Insight Productions is handling the production, with Erin Brock at the helm as showrunner. Apparently, filming took place last summer, after an initial announcement way back in 2025. Time flies, doesn't it?

Of course, we all remember the "Jersey Shore" that started it all. It launched the careers of now-household names like Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, DJ Pauly D, JWOWW, and Snooki. And since then, the franchise has exploded, spawning 18 (!) additional series, including "Aussie Shore" and "Frenchie Shore." It's a testament to the enduring appeal (or perhaps our collective guilty pleasure) of watching young people navigate relationships and life in front of a camera.

For those who need a "Jersey Shore" fix while waiting for "Canada Shore," Paramount's Pluto TV has a dedicated "MTV Jersey Shore Channel." Plus, snippets from "Canada Shore" will be popping up there, with the full first episode dropping on January 22nd. And if you're in Canada, Paramount+ has you covered with all seasons of "Jersey Shore" and "Jersey Shore Family Vacation," plus "Aussie Shore" and "Acapulco Shore." They are also adding Geordie Shore, Double Shot at Love and Floribama Shore to their catalogue this month. Buckle up, folks. It’s gonna be a wild ride.
