Alright folks, your trusty gaming guru is boots-on-the-ground here in Las Vegas for CES 2026, and let me tell you, the future of gaming is looking… well, sparkly. So much new tech vying for our attention, it's honestly a little overwhelming! But fear not, I've braved the crowds and endured the flashing lights to bring you my top 5 Gaming peripherals that absolutely deserve your attention.
CES 2026: The Gaming Peripherals That Will SHOCK Y...
First up, controllers. Plural. We’ve got the MCON and MCON Slim. These things are sleek. The MCON boasts haptic feedback that’ll make you think you're actually *feeling* the game – explosions, impacts, the subtle rumble of an engine. It’s next-level stuff. The Slim version trims down the size and weight for players who prefer a lighter touch. Both are promising some impressive customization options, too. I’m talking button remapping galore. Speaking of handhelds, a name that I have known to be innovative and reliable has done it again!
Nintendo fans, rejoice! Genki is back with new Grips tailor-made for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Remember how much we loved their original grips? Well, these are promising even better ergonomics and improved comfort for those marathon gaming sessions. Honestly, my hands were starting to cramp just thinking about playing the latest Zelda on the current model, so I'm already sold on this one.
Then there's the 8BitDo FlipPad. Now, 8BitDo always brings the retro charm, but this one's got a twist. It's a controller that *flips*. Yes, you read that right. Different configurations for different games, all with a satisfying click. It might sound gimmicky, but in my brief hands-on, it felt surprisingly intuitive. This one is going to take some getting used to, but I think it is well worth it.
8BitDo also snags another spot on my list with the Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox. The classic styling combined with modern features like hall effect sticks (no more stick drift, hallelujah!) makes this a serious contender for best Xbox controller of the year. As an added bonus, you get the ability to customize the button layout. Seriously, no one likes the factory default, so go change it!
Finally, and this one's a bit of a wildcard, the GAMR Dance Pad. Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking. Dance pads? Are those still a thing? Well, GAMR is trying to bring them back, and this one is packed with sensors and boasts a responsive surface. It might sound niche, but after spending an hour getting my groove on to the latest pop hits, I gotta admit, it's a blast. And a great workout! Who says gaming can't be exercise? I am excited to continue to cover CES 2026. Check back for more soon!
