CES 2026: The Tech That Will SHOCK You Is HERE!
Technology 07 January 2026

Las Vegas – The energy was palpable on Day Two of CES 2026. The showroom floors were absolutely packed, teeming with tech enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of the future. It's amazing how this annual event continues to draw such massive crowds, all hungry for the latest innovations in robots, AI, health tech, and everything in between. CES really is that crucial launchpad for companies big and small looking to make a splash in the coming year.

CES 2026: The Tech That Will SHOCK You Is HERE!

Razer, known for its gaming peripherals, surprised many with a foray into the world of holographic companions. They unveiled two concept devices: Project Motoko and Project Ava. Imagine having a little holographic sprite right on your desk, interacting with you. That's Motoko. This on-screen companion boasts built-in speakers and a camera, enabling it to actually "see" its surroundings. What's truly fascinating is that Razer is leveraging cutting-edge AI – ChatGPT for Motoko and xAI's Grok for Ava. It's a bold move, and while they're still in development, Razer anticipates launching both later this year. Color me intrigued.

Forget self-driving cars, Oshkosh Corporation is setting its sights on self-driving airports. They showcased a fleet of autonomous robots designed to streamline airport operations, from guiding planes to their gates to unloading luggage. The goal? To perfect what they call the "perfect turn" – that crucial, tightly choreographed sequence of tasks that happen between a plane landing and taking off again. Think fueling, cleaning, cargo handling, and passenger transfer all executed with robotic precision. It’s a fascinating vision of the future of air travel, even if it might feel a little impersonal to some.

Then there's Roborock, already a household name for its robotic vacuums. But they're taking things to a whole new level with the Saros Rover – a stair-climbing cleaning robot. I saw the prototype in action, and it was definitely… deliberate in its ascent and descent. But Roborock assures us the final product will be much more agile, capable of navigating all sorts of stairwells, even those tricky spiral designs. No word on a release date yet, but the potential here is huge.

Health tech was also a major theme, and one product that caught my eye was a $600 smart scale promising to give you a "nerve health score." It tracks changes in electrodermal activity, which basically reflects the electrical properties of your skin related to sweat gland function. Paired with a subscription app (because everything's a subscription these days, right?), the scale provides personalized advice and insights into your health trajectory. The French company behind it hopes to empower users to monitor their health and promote longevity. Whether it lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but the potential is there.

Finally, Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS), NVIDIA, and Siemens announced a groundbreaking collaboration to accelerate the development of fusion energy. CFS CEO Bob Mumgaard explained that they’ll be using simulations to rapidly analyze data and guide the development of their physical machines. This could potentially condense years of manual experimentation into just weeks of understanding. Fusion energy has always felt like a distant dream, but this collaboration offers a glimmer of hope that it might be closer than we think.
