Sistas SHOCK: Fan Faves EXIT! New Cast Members Revealed! What Will Happen?!
Movies & TV Series 05 January 2026

Hold up, Sistas fans! Big changes are coming to the hit Tyler Perry series. Season 10, set to premiere January 7th at 9 p.m. ET, will be without two familiar faces: Ebony Obsidian, who played the ever-complicated Karen Mott, and Novi Brown, the sharp-tongued Sabrina Hollins. That's right, both actresses are exiting the show as series regulars.

Sistas SHOCK: Fan Faves EXIT! New Cast Members Rev...

This news definitely comes as a surprise, considering both Obsidian and Brown have been integral to the show since it first graced our screens back in 2019. As a longtime watcher, I've definitely enjoyed watching their characters grow (and stumble!) over the years. The burning question on everyone's mind, of course, is why? As of now, the reasons for their departure remain shrouded in mystery. Deadline has reached out to their representatives for comment, but so far, no word on the street.

While we're losing Karen and Sabrina, it's not all doom and gloom. The core trio – KJ Smith, Mignon, and Crystal Renee Hayslett – are all returning in their original roles, ready to bring the drama (and, let's be honest, the messy relationship advice) we've come to expect. Plus, we're getting two fresh faces joining the cast as series regulars: Jordan Coleman, known for her work in *All American: Homecoming*, and Tunde Oyeneyin, who appeared in *Life & Beth*.

Coleman will be stepping into the role of Cheyenne Barnes, a hairstylist with a tough exterior masking some serious emotional baggage. Oyeneyin will play Madison Truitt, an ambitious entrepreneur who, beneath her success, craves connection and love. It definitely sounds like both characters are going to add some interesting new dynamics to the group, and I'm personally excited to see how they shake things up.

Season 10 itself promises to be a rollercoaster. Picking up after a shocking car bombing (yikes!), the new season will see loyalties tested and past secrets resurfacing. Fan favorites like Angela Beyince, Devale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Chris Warren, and Monti Washington are all back for the ride.

"Reaching a 10th season is a significant milestone," BET President Louis Carr said, highlighting the show's continued success. And he's not wrong. *Sistas* is on track to be the No. 1 scripted cable series of the year among Black adults 18-49 for the fifth consecutive year, and the top series on cable among all Black viewers for the third year in a row. That’s pretty impressive, folks. With Tyler Perry at the helm and Courtney Glaude penning the scripts, it looks like *Sistas* is set to continue its reign, even with these cast changes. Whether Obsidian and Brown will make a cameo to wrap up their storylines remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure: Season 10 is shaping up to be one to watch.
