Booker's Buzzer-Beater Stuns! Suns Win at the Last Second!
Sports 05 January 2026

Devin Booker just reminded everyone why he's one of the most clutch players in the NBA. With a mere 0.7 seconds ticking off the clock, Booker drained a contested three-pointer, sending the Phoenix Suns faithful into a frenzy and securing a nail-biting 108-105 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. That's how you close out a game.

Booker's Buzzer-Beater Stuns! Suns Win at the Last...

The atmosphere inside the Mortgage Matchup Center was electric as the Suns, now boasting 21 wins on the season, battled back and forth with a tough Thunder squad. Jordan Goodwin led the scoring charge for Phoenix with an impressive 26 points, proving he's more than just a role player. But let's be real, everyone will be talking about Booker's game-winner. He finished with 24 points and 9 assists, orchestrating the offense with his usual flair. Dillon Brooks chipped in with a solid 22 points too, making it a well-rounded offensive effort.

Oklahoma City, who had been riding a four-game win streak, certainly didn't go down without a fight. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, as always, led the Thunder with 25 points and 6 assists. Jalen Williams added 23 points and 7 assists, showcasing the Thunder's dynamic young core. But in the end, it just wasn't enough to overcome Booker's late-game heroics. Sometimes, you just have to tip your hat to a great shot.

Meanwhile, out in Los Angeles, the Lakers continued their dominance over the Memphis Grizzlies, securing a 120-114 win – their second against Memphis in just three days. Luka Doncic, leading the Lakers on loan, put on a show with 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. LeBron James, not to be outdone, added a cool 26 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. It's a little odd seeing these two playing together for the Lakers, but they have been doing well while the Lakers star players are out. Jake LaRavia, facing his former team, led the Grizzlies with 26 points, while rookie Cedric Coward had a decent outing with 16 points and 8 rebounds before unfortunately injuring his ankle.

Over in the Eastern Conference, we saw a bit of an upset. The Detroit Pistons, surprisingly, snapped the Cleveland Cavaliers' nine-game home winning streak with a 114-110 victory. Cade Cunningham paced the Pistons with 27 points, while Daniss Jenkins added 25. The Pistons were perfect from the free-throw line, hitting all 21 of their attempts, which ultimately proved to be the difference-maker. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 30 points, but Darius Garland struggled from beyond the arc, going 0-for-7. It just goes to show you, anything can happen on any given night in the NBA.
