Harden Cracks Top 10! NBA History SHOCKED! What Happens Next?!

James Harden's a scoring machine, we all know that. But even knowing that, it was still a bit of a moment to see him officially crack the top 10 on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He managed the feat during the Clippers' recent game against the Timberwolves, a game, unfortunately for Clippers fans, they ended up losing 109-106.

Harden Cracks Top 10! NBA History SHOCKED! What Ha...

Harden poured in 34 points, which, while not enough to snag the win, pushed his career total past Carmelo Anthony's 28,289 points. He now sits at a cool 28,303 career points, firmly entrenched in 10th place. It's a testament to his longevity and, frankly, his relentless pursuit of putting the ball in the basket. Remember all the flack he used to get for "hunting fouls"? Well, those points count too.

The Timberwolves, playing at home in the Target Center, were paced by Jaden McDaniels' impressive 27 points, with Julius Randle chipping in a solid 24. They're on a bit of a roll, racking up their 15th win of the season and their fifth straight. Kawhi Leonard had 20 for the Clippers alongside Harden's heroics, but it wasn't enough to overcome a determined Timberwolves squad. The Clippers, still trying to find their rhythm with all their new pieces, now have 18 losses on the season. It's going to be interesting to see how they gel as the season progresses. A lot of pressure is on that team, no doubt.

Switching gears a bit, the Dallas Mavericks took down the Houston Rockets with a final score of 122-109. Anthony Davis led the charge for the Mavericks, dropping 29 points. Not bad, not bad at all. Brandon Williams and Cooper Flagg also made significant contributions, adding 20 and 19 points respectively. This victory marks the Mavericks' ninth win of the season. On the Rockets' side, Kevin Durant put up a respectable 27 points, and Jabari Smith Jr. added 22.

However, Rockets fans were likely feeling the absence of Alperen Şengün. The Turkish national player was sidelined due to illness. Always a shame when a key player has to sit one out. Hopefully, he'll be back on the court soon. The Mavericks, meanwhile, will be looking to build on this win and climb higher in the Western Conference standings. The NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint, and there's still plenty of basketball to be played.
