He also noted their impressive year, likely referencing the upcoming releases of Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 in 2025 – Obsidian is clearly on a roll.

For those not completely steeped in Fallout lore, Bethesda Game Studios (helmed by Howard) gave us Fallout 3 and 4. But sandwiched in between those titles and the epic Skyrim was Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian. And while all Fallout games have their merits, New Vegas, with its intricate story, morally gray choices, and unforgettable characters, cemented itself as a fan-favorite, arguably the best in the series. No pressure, Season 2!

The upcoming season is explicitly drawing inspiration from the 2010 RPG, which explains the Obsidian visit. It makes perfect sense. Who better to consult with than the creators themselves?
