Recent reports coming out of South Korea are buzzing about a newly constructed building in the swanky Hannam neighborhood, and the story is that it's owned by Suga's mother. Now, Hannam-dong isn't just any neighborhood. It's where several BTS members, including Suga himself, call home. Location, location, location, as they say!

The property, valued at a cool 17.3 billion won – that's roughly $12.9 million US dollars – apparently underwent a major glow-up after Suga's mother, through a corporation, acquired the land and an existing structure back in December 2022 for around 10.8 billion won. The old building? Gone. In its place? A sparkling, eight-story edifice boasting two basement levels, six floors above ground, and a rooftop structure. Not bad, right?

But here’s the family tie-in: Suga's older brother apparently opened a restaurant on the ground floor last month. Talk about keeping it in the family! It's not just his restaurant though; another restaurant is located on the basement level, while a hair salon is operating on the third floor. The fourth and fifth floors also look well-occupied. I was reading that Suga himself even popped by to check on some noise issues related to the construction. Now that's dedication to family!

It makes sense that they'd choose Hannam, given that it's home to other BTS members like Jin, RM, and Jimin. The BTS boys are well-known for their impressive real estate portfolios. For instance, Jin snagged a unit at Hannam The Hill for a whopping 17.5 billion won back in June. And J-Hope isn’t slacking either, owning multiple properties, including a penthouse and another unit right below it in Yongsan District, plus two luxury apartments in Seongsu. These guys know how to invest!
