Alright horror fans, buckle up! The trailer for "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" just dropped, and it looks like Samara Weaving's Grace is about to have a REALLY bad time. Remember that insane wedding night she barely survived in the first film? Yeah, well, turns out that was just the opening act.

Ready or Not 2 Trailer: Global Threat?! Weaving & ...

Searchlight Pictures gave us our first official glimpse on Wednesday, and honestly, it's even crazier than I anticipated. We pick up right where we left off, with Grace still reeling from the whole Le Domas family debacle. You'd think escaping a murderous game of hide-and-seek would be enough, but oh no, the horror gods have other plans.

This time, the stakes are ridiculously higher. Not only is Grace fighting for her own survival, but she's also joined by her estranged sister, Faith, played by the always-fantastic Kathryn Newton. Apparently, surviving the first game has unlocked a whole new level of crazy. The new game involves fighting for control of the High Seat of the Council, which, get this, controls the entire freaking world! So, yeah, just a little bit more pressure this time around. I mean, seriously, talk about upgrading from "in-laws from hell" to "existential threat to global order."

And of course, Grace won't just be battling garden-variety killers. This time, she's up against a fresh batch of wealthy and powerful enemies, and the cast is insane. We're talking Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar (hello, Buffy!), Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and even the legendary David Cronenberg. That’s some serious horror royalty right there. The trailer gives us a taste of Wood's character, a nameless Lawyer who explains the situation to Grace. "You've caused quite a stir, Mrs. Le Domas," he says, dropping the bombshell that Grace triggered a new game against the High Council Families. Sounds like a fun family get-together, right?

The team behind the original "Ready or Not" is back, too. Radio Silence directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back in the director's chairs, along with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. So, we can expect the same blend of dark humor, over-the-top gore, and genuinely suspenseful moments that made the first film such a hit. Honestly, I’m already counting down the days. "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" hits theaters April 10, 2026. Mark your calendars, folks, because this is one sequel you won't want to miss.
