**Early Signing Day: Top 10 2026 College Football Recruiting Classes**

It's December, and that means college football is operating at warp speed. Conference championships are on the horizon, the coaching carousel is spinning faster than ever, and oh yeah, it's also Early Signing Day. If you're not a college football fan, buckle up; it's a wild ride.

2026 Football Recruiting SHOCKER! Top 10 Schools W...

The early signing period, a three-day window that opened Wednesday, allows high school prospects to put pen to paper and officially commit to their chosen universities. Thousands of highly touted recruits across the country did just that, solidifying their places in the 2026 college football season. It's always fascinating to see where the next generation of stars will land.

While Wednesday was the main event, the biggest shockwave actually hit on Tuesday when Vanderbilt, yes, Vanderbilt, managed to snag Jared Curtis, the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class, right out from under the nose of the Georgia Bulldogs. Huge get for Clark Lea and the Commodores. It's these unexpected twists that make recruiting so compelling.

However, even with that program-defining acquisition, Vanderbilt didn't quite crack the top 10 in recruiting this year. The top spots, as usual, are dominated by the usual suspects. So, which programs are sitting pretty with the 10 best recruiting classes for the Class of 2026? Let's take a look, courtesy of 247 Sports, as of 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

**Top 10 Recruiting Classes (Class of 2026)** *Note: Information below includes top signings/commits, star ratings, total number of signees, and number of commits.*

**Miami Hurricanes** * Top signings/commits: Offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell (No. 7 overall prospect, No. 2 OT), wide receiver Somourian Wingo (No. 50 overall prospect, No. 7 WR), wide receiver Milan Parris (No. 64 overall prospect, No. 9 WR) * 5 stars: 1 * 4 stars: 20 * Total number of signees: 30 * Number of commits: 0

The Hurricanes are loading up with talent. Their future quarterback, whoever inherits the job after Carson Beck moves on (next season, presumably), will have a stable of talented freshman receivers to target. And Jackson Cantwell? Reportedly signed a $2 million NIL deal to commit to Miami this past summer. The game has changed.

**Georgia Bulldogs** * Top signings/commits: Edge rusher Tristian Givens (No. 26 overall prospect, No. 6 edge rusher), running back KJ Edwards (No. 46 overall prospect, No. 3 RB), athlete Brandon Arrington (No. 55 overall prospect, No. 3 ATH) * 5 stars: 1 * 4 stars: 22 * Total number of signees: 26 * Number of commits: 0

**Texas Longhorns** * Top signings/commits: Athlete Jermaine Bishop (No. 16 overall prospect, No. 2 ATH), quarterback Dia Bell (No. 27 overall prospect, No. 4 QB), linebacker Tyler Atkinson (No. 38 overall prospect, No. 2 LB) * 5 stars: 3 * 4 stars: 12 * Total number of signees: 23 * Number of commits: 4

Did Steve Sarkisian secure Arch Manning's heir apparent in this recruiting cycle? Dia Bell, the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year in Florida, certainly has the pedigree, throwing for 31 touchdowns against just five interceptions. Oh, and his dad is former NBA player Raja Bell. Not a bad gene pool.

**Ohio State Buckeyes** * Top signings/commits: Wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. (No. 32 overall prospect, No. 3 WR), linebacker Cincere Johnson (No. 40 overall prospect, No. 4 LB), cornerback Jay Timmons (No. 45 overall prospect, No. 4 CB) * 5 stars: 1 * 4 stars: 17 * Total number of signees: 25 * Number of commits: 2

Ryan Day continues to reload in Columbus. And, yes, Chris Henry Jr. *is* the son of former NFL receiver Chris Henry. It's a name that brings both talent and, sadly, a bit of melancholy to the program. Time will tell if he can live up to the hype.
