Game Informer Goes Global! Find It NOW Near You!
Gaming News 03 December 2025

Game Informer, a name synonymous with in-depth video game journalism, is making a triumphant return to newsstands across the US and, perhaps even more impressively, in select international markets. This is a big deal, folks. I remember picking up my first copy as a kid, dog-earing pages and dreaming of virtual worlds. It's great to see it back where it belongs, right there alongside the other magazines.

Game Informer Goes Global! Find It NOW Near You!

According to Game Informer, starting with their December issue – featuring Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, no less – you can find their magazine at your local Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, and even GameStop. That's a pretty solid distribution network right there. But the real news is the international expansion. We're talking the UK, Australia, even Japan! That's a seriously broad reach, and speaks to the enduring appeal of their brand.

They're not stopping there, either. Game Informer promises further expansion into more newsstands and game stores in the coming months. This is welcome news. I do think there is still something special about reading a well-crafted magazine in print and the fact that it is available in so many places now is great news.

Of course, existing subscribers won't see any changes. They'll continue to receive the same in-depth coverage, previews, and reviews they've come to expect. But for those on the fence, or who simply want to grab a single issue to see what all the fuss is about, the newsstand edition is the perfect entry point. Maybe you'll see something you like!

And speaking of entry points, Game Informer is also dangling a pretty tempting carrot for new subscribers. They're offering a print and digital subscription that includes 10 issues a year (including the coveted year-end XL Special Edition), digital access to their massive archive of over 360 magazines, exclusive web features, fewer ads (always a plus!), and a feel-good bonus: 5% of your subscription supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. That's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

So, if you're looking for a great gift idea for the gamer in your life, or just want to treat yourself, consider picking up a copy of Game Informer. They're also urging readers to spread the word about their return, which is something I can totally get behind. If you're a fan of quality game journalism, give them a look! And if you are inclined, explore your favorite games in premium print format. You might just rediscover the joy of reading about games in a tangible, tactile way.
