Okay, folks, buckle up, because the cast list for Lana Condor's new rom-com whodunnit, simply titled "Whodunnit," is shaping up to be seriously amazing. You know, the one we mentioned a while back? Well, it's not just Lana anymore – she's got some seriously talented company!
Lana Condor's New Movie: Star-Studded Cast & Kille...
The latest buzz out of Oregon, where they're currently filming, is that Jack Whitehall (that hilarious guy from "Jungle Cruise"), Robbie Amell (a total fave from "Upload"), Lizze Broadway (fresh off the success of "Gen V"), the ever-reliable Elizabeth Mitchell (remember Juliet from "Lost"?), and the always-funny Randall Park ("Fresh Off the Boat") have all officially signed on. Seriously, what a lineup!
Now, details are still pretty hush-hush about who each of them will be playing. Classic whodunnit move, right? Gotta keep us guessing. But with a cast this stacked, you just know the characters are going to be colorful and probably more than a little bit quirky. I'm already picturing some hilarious interactions. Imagine Whitehall and Park trading witty barbs – comedy gold!
"Whodunnit" is a collaborative effort between BuzzFeed Studios, CaliWood Pictures, Fortitude International, and Nickel City Pictures. Directing this potential comedic masterpiece is Nora Kirkpatrick, known for "A Tree Fell in the Woods." She's working with a script initially penned by Jessica Kravitz and Chelsea Catalanotto, with some final touches added by Kirkpatrick herself. Sounds like a strong creative team is at the helm.
The production team is equally impressive, with Richard Alan Reid and Michael Philip from BuzzFeed Studios, Mark Fasano and Matthew Goldberg from Nickel City Pictures, and Mike Blutstein of Hooky Media all taking on producing duties. On the executive producer side, we've got Nadine De Barros from Fortitude International, and R. Wesley Sierk III, John D. Straley, Jina Panebianco, and Audra Gricius of CaliWood Pictures. Fortitude International and BuzzFeed Studios are handling the global sales, which, given the cast, I'm betting will be a fairly easy task.
It's interesting to see BuzzFeed Studios really diving into film production. They've definitely got the finger on the pulse of what audiences want, and this project certainly seems promising. A rom-com with a murder mystery twist, starring Lana Condor and a stellar supporting cast? Yeah, I’m definitely adding this one to my watch list. The representation for the actors is top-notch, too, with heavy hitters like CAA, UTA, and WME all involved. Keep an eye out for more updates as they emerge from the set in Oregon! This one’s shaping up to be a real winner.
