Rizespor's Cup SHOCKER! 7-Goal Thriller Sends Fans...

The match, played at Rizespor's home turf, the Çaykur Didi Stadium, was pretty much one-way traffic from the get-go. You could feel the energy in the stadium, a real buzz that translated onto the pitch. From the opening whistle, Rizespor looked hungry, determined to book their spot in the next stage of the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

Samet Akaydin got the party started early, finding the back of the net in the 15th minute. From there, the floodgates seemed to open. Mithat Pala doubled the lead just ten minutes later, followed quickly by Mihaila, effectively putting the game beyond Pendikspor's reach before the half-time whistle even blew. I mean, 3-0 at half-time? Ouch.

If Pendikspor were hoping for a second-half comeback, Olawoyin quickly dashed those dreams, adding a fourth goal shortly after the restart. Augusto piled on the misery a couple of minutes later, making it 5-0. To be fair, Pendikspor did manage to grab a consolation goal, but Taha Şahin quickly restored Rizespor's five-goal advantage in the 83rd minute. A final score of 6-1 – a comprehensive victory, no doubt about it.

While it’s just one game, and Pendikspor isn't exactly a Super Lig heavyweight, this win will definitely boost Rizespor's confidence. They’ll be hoping to carry this momentum into their league games. For now, they can celebrate a dominant performance and look forward to the next round of the Turkish Cup. Who knows, maybe this is their year to make a real run at the trophy. One thing's for sure: they've certainly got the firepower!
