Auto Industry SHOCK! November Production Breaks ALL Records!
Automotive 02 December 2025

Wow, talk about a strong finish to the year! Turkey's automotive sector absolutely crushed it in November, posting record-breaking sales numbers that have industry analysts buzzing. According to the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), combined car and light commercial vehicle sales jumped a hefty 9.82% compared to last November. That brought the total to a whopping 132,984 vehicles sold – a new all-time high for the month.

Breaking it down further, passenger car sales were the real drivers (pun intended!) of this growth, surging 10.78% to reach 104,795 units. Light commercial vehicles also saw a respectable increase, climbing 6.38% to 28,189 units. It's interesting to see such a strong performance in both categories, suggesting that the demand isn't just limited to personal vehicles; businesses are also investing in their fleets.

This November surge isn't just a one-off event, either. Looking at the bigger picture, the Turkish automotive market has been on a solid upward trajectory throughout the year. The January-November period saw a 10.16% overall increase, with a total of 1,176,780 vehicles finding new owners. That's a significant figure, and it speaks volumes about the health of the Turkish economy and consumer confidence. For comparison, I remember covering similar stories a few years back when the numbers were significantly lower. This feels like a real turning point.

Drilling down into the year-to-date figures, passenger car sales are up 10.96% to 938,177 units, while light commercial vehicle sales have increased by 7.13% to 238,603 units. So, basically, it's been a good year across the board for the automotive industry in Turkey. Now, the big question is: can this momentum continue into the new year? With global economic uncertainties still lingering, it's tough to say for sure. However, the strong performance we've seen in 2023 certainly provides a solid foundation for continued growth in the months to come. It will be interesting to see how government policies, inflation, and consumer sentiment play out in shaping the automotive landscape going forward.
