Mindy Project Star's SHOCKING New Role! What Will It Mean For Fans?!
Movies & TV Series 01 December 2025

Big news for fans of Ed Weeks! The beloved actor, who many of us remember fondly from his hilarious turn on "The Mindy Project," has just snagged a lead role in a new CBS pilot called "Eternally Yours." And get this – it's coming from the creative minds behind the hit show "Ghosts," Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. Color me intrigued.

Mindy Project Star's SHOCKING New Role! What Will ...

The show, a single-camera comedy, promises to be a fresh take on the whole vampire genre. Forget the brooding, sparkly vampires of yesteryear; this sounds like it's going to be genuinely funny. Weeks will be playing Charles, one half of a vampire couple locked in a seemingly eternal marriage dating back to the fifth century. Now that's commitment!

Apparently, Charles isn't exactly thrilled with modern life. He's described as a former nobleman from the Middle Ages who now finds himself stuck working a rather mundane, pencil-pushing job. To keep their immortality under wraps, he and his family have to pack up and move every few years. I can only imagine the potential for comedic mishaps there.

But the real kicker? Charles' disdain for modern society and its "weak-minded" inhabitants reaches a fever pitch when he discovers his vampire daughter is dating a human. Oh, the drama! I'm already picturing the hilarious clashes between centuries-old vampire values and the complexities of modern dating. This has all the makings of a very clever and funny show.

It's worth noting that Port and Wiseman aren't just executive producing; they're also writing the pilot, which suggests a strong vision and creative control. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang are also on board as executive producers, adding even more weight to the project. Production is slated to begin in early 2026, so we'll have to be patient, unfortunately!

In the meantime, Ed Weeks has been keeping busy. He's currently starring alongside Meghann Fahy in the Blumhouse x Universal thriller "Drop," which recently premiered at SXSW. He's also got another comedy, "Damned If You Do," in the works, co-starring Kate Siegel and Harvey Guillen. This guy is on a roll! His resume is packed with diverse roles, from "French Girl" opposite Zach Braff to appearances on "The IT Crowd" and "My Family." He’s clearly a versatile actor, and I'm excited to see what he brings to the role of Charles in "Eternally Yours."

Weeks is represented by Curate, WME, and Yorn Levine. Keep an eye out for more updates on "Eternally Yours" as we get closer to 2026. I, for one, am definitely adding this one to my watchlist.
