VTuber Zentreya's latest model reveal has certainly stirred the pot, and not in a good way, if social media is anything to go by. The "General Zentreya" design, unveiled just recently, has drawn some pretty harsh criticism, with some accusing the design of giving off a, shall we say, "Nazi vibe." I have to admit, it's a bold claim, and one that's ignited a pretty fierce debate online.
Zentreya's Model SHOCK! Fans Furious - What Happen...
The whole thing blew up pretty quickly after the model's debut on November 27, 2025. You know how it goes these days: a spark on social media, and suddenly everyone's weighing in. While a lot of fans seemed to dig the updated look, others were quick to condemn it, arguing that the military-inspired aesthetic somehow echoed extremist ideologies. It’s a slippery slope, associating any kind of uniform with something that loaded. I mean, where do we draw the line?
It seems X user @daitan_kodi was one of the first to really get the ball rolling, alleging that the design had a distinct "N*zi vibe" based on, get this, its color palette and stylistic elements. The conversation, or rather, the argument, quickly devolved into the usual online toxicity. Honestly, surprise, surprise. This, of course, prompted Zentreya to jump to her own defense and defend her community, which, let's be honest, is exactly what you'd expect.
Zentreya, for her part, has been pretty adamant in denying any connection to Nazism or any extremist ideologies whatsoever. She's been clear that she considers herself apolitical, which, in this day and age, is almost a political statement in itself, isn’t it? I can see where she's coming from, though. Nobody wants to be unfairly labeled, especially with something as serious as this.
During a livestream, she addressed the controversy head-on, making it clear that she wanted no association with extremist ideology, saying in no uncertain terms, "I'm on no political side. I don't agree with Nzism… F**k N*zis!" Can't get much clearer than that. She also followed up with a statement, explaining that "I think not wanting to be labeled a N*zi immediately out of the gate would get anyone heated." I think most people would agree with that sentiment.
And because every good online controversy needs an extra layer of drama, Tim Zheng, the founder of Vite Kitchens and Vite Ramen – and a longtime sponsor of Zentreya, mind you – has also thrown his hat into the ring. He's calling the accusations "clout chasing" and just plain unnecessary drama. He even suggested that the whole thing "smells like trying to take someone else down because it makes them feel better, makes them feel bigger," which is a pretty cynical take, but probably not that far from the truth in some cases. He also said the controversy was infuriating, and you can't blame him for feeling that way. I have to say, it’s a mess.
