White House Bias Tracker: Is YOUR News Source on the List?!
Current Affairs 30 November 2025

The Trump White House is at it again, folks. This time, they've launched an online "media bias" tracker, a move sure to ruffle some feathers – and probably prompt a few more lawsuits, knowing this administration.

According to RT.com, the White House has created a dedicated page on its website under the banner "Misleading. Biased. Exposed." It's essentially a public shaming list of news outlets they accuse of publishing "false and misleading stories." Think of it as the administration's own version of a media watchdog… with a distinct partisan slant, of course.

This whole thing is hardly surprising, given President Trump’s long-running feud with what he calls the "fake news media." He's been using that term for years to dismiss any coverage he doesn't like, so, honestly, a website dedicated to calling out those perceived slights seems like the next logical step. It’s definitely a bold move, let's put it that way.

The tracker features weekly examples of reporting the administration disputes, linking directly to the original articles. They've even categorized the alleged offenses as "Misrepresentation," "Omission of context," "Bias," or "Malpractice." It's all very…organized. The administration claims this site is intended to serve as a "record of the media’s false and misleading stories flagged by the White House."

And who are the first "lucky" outlets to be featured? CBS News, The Boston Globe, and The Independent are apparently the inaugural members of the "Media Offender of the Week" section. The administration took issue with their reporting on what they claim "misrepresents and exaggerates President Trump’s calls for Democrat accountability," specifically coverage suggesting he'd urged the "execution" of lawmakers. Yikes.

Then there's the "Offender Hall of Shame," described as a "record of the media’s false and misleading stories." This includes a who's who of mainstream media: The Washington Post, CBS News, CNN, and MSNBC, among many others. It's all searchable, so you can really dive into the administration's grievances.

The timing is also interesting. This launch comes after a recent scandal involving a BBC Panorama documentary that was, let's just say, less than ethically edited. Remember that one? They spliced together excerpts from a Trump speech to make it seem like he directly incited the January 6th riot. The BBC ended up issuing a formal apology after Trump threatened to sue them for a cool billion dollars. It definitely adds a layer of context to this whole "media bias" crusade.

It's worth noting that several US media outlets, including CBS and ABC News, have recently settled lawsuits brought by the President. He’s made it abundantly clear that he believes most mainstream networks are biased against him and conservatives, and this website feels like just another battleground in that ongoing war. The Washington Post, after being labelled a "repeat offender," simply stated they remained "proud of its accurate, rigorous journalism." That pretty much sums up the whole situation, doesn't it? The battle continues.
